Acne - How to's

This post will focus on acne patients with grade 1-2 acne and sensitive or drier skin types and the use of the Image Skin Care Medicated Acne Lotion and the Medicated Acne Mask.

I received this questions from a client who was wondering how best to use the Image Skin Care Medicated Acne Lotion and Mask for patients with drier, sensitive acne grades 1 and 2.

Response: Using the Image Medicated Acne Lotion would be best for the clients that you are targeting and works effectively on all grades of acne.
The Image Medicated Acne Mask is fantastic and works effectively however, it is best geared to stage 3/4 acne but can be used as a spot treatment in the above mentioned patient with acne grade 1 and 2.

For patients wishing to try the products we have 2 trial kits and these can be offered to patients based on their grade of acne. I find that this approach to selling the samples works best as it allows clients to try the products they need.
Acne Grade 1-2 works best with the TRI-Kit (3 Piece) includes the Salicylic Gel Cleanser, Medicated Acne Lotion and SPF
Acne Grade 3-4 works best with the TRIAL Kit (4 Piece) includes the Salicylic Gel Cleanser, Medicated Acne Mask, Medicated Acne Lotion and SPF

In the case of drier more sensitive patients no matter the grade of acne consider adding a base layer of hydration to the skin before using the Medicated Acne Lotion or Mask.
The best products for layering underneath are:
Image Hylauronic Acid
Image Balancing Antioxidant Serum
Image Skin Lightening Serum
Image Hydrating Anti Aging Serum
The Hydrating Anti Aging Serum is always a great choice as most patients that are new to medical grade acne skin care and will need something with a little more hydration and texture.
Place the medicated acne lotion or mask right on top of the base layer and then add SPF.
If you had an extremely sensitive or dry person you might try adding the hydrating mask first then the medicated acne lotion or mask.
To lighten pigmentation always consider adding the Ageless Skin Lightening Serum to the patient's skin care routine.
